First Visit

Your First Chiropractic Visit

Your initial consultation will consist of a thorough history and examination to accurately diagnose your condition.

The confidential history allows Dr. Michael or Dr. Damien assess your overall health status and gain important information regarding your current problem and any previous conditions.

If you are a good candidate for Chiropractic care, a comprehensive examination will then follow. It will involve;

  • Physical examination
  • Range of motion
  • Neurological examination
  • Orthopaedic examination
  • Postural assessment
  • Instrument analysis
  • Static palpation
  • Motion palpation

 

Specialised digital full spine chiropractic radiographs will then be taken at the clinic for immediate evaluation. Radiographic analysis forms an integral part of an accurate examination, diagnosis and treatment of your condition.

After thoroughly assessing the X-ray and examination findings, your Chiropractor will give you an explanation of the findings and discuss the conclusions reached. If you will benefit from Chiropractic care, your Chiropractor will then tailor specific chiropractic adjustments and health recommendations to resolve your condition.

With a goal in place, your treatments and the road to recovery will begin. The purpose of these visits will be to correct your condition and get you on track to optimal health and well being.

Your First Podiatric Visit

Your initial Podiatry consultation will consist of a thorough history and examination to determine your specific foot condition and acknowledge any previous injuries or conditions. It includes a thorough examination of skin and nails as well as a biomechanical assessment which assesses the structure, alignment and function of the foot. This includes range of motion and muscle testing of the lower extremity. Tests such as Doppler blood flow assessment and neurological testing for those with chronic diseases such as arthritis and Diabetes, will also be undertaken in the initial consultation.  

Your Podiatrist will clarify findings from the relevant tests and discuss how the structure of your foot may be affecting your daily activities. The appropriate advice and treatment options will be given to you with the aim to resolve any existing conditions, taking into consideration your lifestyle and working conditions. Footwear advice and recommendations will also be given so please bring with you the shoes you mainly wear as well as runners or training shoes. The Podiatrist will also design relevant exercise, maintenance or orthotic programs to prevent any further issues in your lower limb, with the priority always being to keep your feet in optimal condition to keep you on the move.

Your First Naturopathic Visit

Your initial consultation will consist of a thorough history allowing your Naturopath to assess your overall health status and gain important information regarding any underlying causes.

 

Tests performed include;


  • Blood type test (checking blood type using finger prick test)
  • Cholesterol and blood sugar tests (using finger prick test)
  • Urine tests (checking kidney function, blood, infection, pH, protein, level of toxicity in the digestive system.)

  • Measurements and weight assessment

  • Blood pressure and BMI
  • Iridology

  

After thoroughly assessing your body, your Naturopath will give you an explanation of the underlying cause and discuss the conclusions reached. Depending on what is presenting in your body tailors your treatment. This may mean taking herbal or nutritional medicine, changes in diet and lifestyle, relaxation massage or ear candling.

 

With a goal in place, your Naturopath will prioritise your treatment aiming to treat the ultimate cause of your presenting condition. Depending on how long you have had this for will depend on how long your treatment will last. Your Naturopath prides herself in achieving the best results with as few natural remedies as possible. Your follow up visits are critical to guiding you to achieve optimal health and improving the quality of your precious life.

 

Your First Myotherapy Visit

A thorough history of your complaint is taken with additional relevant medical history. Your Myotherapist will assess muscle activity by examining range of movement, strength, posture, flexibility, palpation and other physical tests to identify the most likely cause of your pain or injury. This ensures that a diagnosis can be formulated with a complete and effective treatment plan.

Your Myotherapist will explain this diagnosis of how specific muscle groups and surrounding soft tissues may be causing your symptoms then formulate a treatment plan according to your findings.

Depending on your pain or injury, a number of different techniques and treatment modalities may be utilised. Treatment is then applied to start your recovery process. At the end of your consultation, corrective exercises may be prescribed so that you can assist with ensuring fast and effective results.
